'bout us

Our B & B  is for folks who would like to explore Eastern Oregon from a comfortable “home away from home."  Bring your horse, your mountain bike or your hiking boots. While we do not offer guide services, we do introduce   you to trails, see that you have Forest Service maps, parking permits, and set you off at the appropriate trailhead.  Most trailheads are within a one-half to two hour scenic drive from the Bed and Breakfast.
We will put you and your horse up in a friendly, safe space, and provide you with a hearty breakfast. You may wish to take day rides, returning to the B & B for the comfort of a real bed, or spend time camping in the mountains on a “first night, last night” plan.

Whatever you prefer, our Eastern Oregon Bed and Breakfast will be the base from which you experience the unparalleled beauty of the Wallowa Whitman National Forest and Eagle Cap Wilderness areas. Come let our backyard be your backyard!

Lyndall Shick & ray rufener are your hosts and will provide individualized hospitality, so that you have everything you need for a relaxing, enjoyable and safe adventure.  We are veteran trailriders with many years' experience riding Eastern Oregon's trails, and look forward to helping you select rides appropriate for you and your horses. We also provide tips, fliers and guides for many points of interest.

no horse? You're most welcome to come stay awhile and play, or stop in on your way to other destinations.

From the Guest Book:

"If you are looking for a quiet get away, you can't get better. Feels like an old west boarding house, but with WiFi! Stunning views of the valley and a beautiful ranch house to sleep in. Host was friendly and very accommodating. Wish we had horses to put up, because that would have been amazing. Only problem with the stay was how short it was."  Caiti,  From Seattle, WA · December 2017
